Before moving away from the Constituency this spring, I’d enjoyed working with Craig, who has a proven commitment to the strong effective Labour policies we need to defeat the Tories – the core of which were in the 2019 manifesto . We will have to appeal to a very wide profile – younger near the Sheffield city end of constituency through to an older electorate in Penistone. A mix of city, town and rural all of whom we wish to win over The candidate has to find a point of contact with them all, whilst uniting the CLP. I want to support a positive , united campaigner, which is why I’m pleased to offer Craig my endorsement. I know that he will support and fight for all those workers standing up for their jobs, pay and conditions when they take strike action . Craig understands that Labour will not win if we are only relying on the Tories to destroy themselves . We need alternatives that set Labour apart from the greedy Tories and their backers .
